Z Flip 5 freeze

Hello,

Ever since I updated my z flip 5 to the latest software (6.1) my flip 5 freezes constantly. I mean 15-20 times a day, it is extremely frustrating since this phone is only 6 months old..

It seems to temporarly fix the problem by restarting the phone, but it wont last long.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Hmm, it sounds like something caused by a faulty app or system service. Try booting the phone into Safe Mode to see if the problem persists.

Do the following;

  1. Press and hold the power button and volume down key until the power settings menu appears.
  2. Touch and hold “Power off” and confirm your selection when the Safe Mode pop-up appears.
  3. The device will boot into Safe Mode.

If the freezing doesn’t happen when in Safe Mode, an app is the likely cause of the problems. Restart the device to get out of Safe Mode. Then, uninstall any recently installed or updated apps to see if the issue goes away!

Another option would be to backup your photos and data, then do a factory reset, and install apps freshly (not from backup) and then sync back data to your apps from inside the indvidual apps settings (not from a backup or transfer from old device).

We recommend that you submit an error report so that we can try to analyze what may have happened.

Keep in mind that in order to include as much information as possible in the error report, the error report should be created immediately after the problem occurred.

If it has been a while since the problem occurred, we recommend that you try to reproduce the problem and then create a new error report.

You can create an error report by searching for the Samsung Members icon in your phone and holding down your finger on the icon until the text Error reports appears and then press Error reports.

I have the same problem and as you said it is really frustrating. Even close the external screen is lagging so much that I can't even turn in on.

Same issue here, 3 days in a row now, since upgrading the phone keeps freezing, specifically the quick settings disappear, internet browser might freeze and the cover screen apps malfunction.

I am also experiencing this multiple times a day ever since the upgrade, it's incredibly frustrating.

. . . there's a flip-side-PROBLEM ---> whereby the ANDROID OS system remains RUNNING-ON when I've turned OFF my smartphone . . . and this had just begun on September 25/2024 whereby when MY Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone's NOTIFICATION's "sound" was giving-off indications; & my smartphone's BATTERY-volume DRAINED-down(+); etc.!!!!   Hmmmmm.????   How come; etc.?

my lock screen is totally freezes i tried to do what has written but it isn't working i have tapped the button several times and other buttons too but they aren't responding if you have more solutions then please reply
