What is 'developer mode'?

I was scrolling through posts on the Members app when I came across one by GoanGeek crediting a Redditor (u/Ok-Bicycle6504) for finding a way to 'improve' the display on any Galaxy S26 Ultra. The post also comes with instructions on how to enable Developer Mode. So I enabled Developer Mode.

I was just wondering, what do these do? (There are quite a few toggles.)

You shouldn't need to use it in normal settings but I like you've been finding out. It's mainly for app developers as it gives you extra settings and short cuts which is useful if you customise your device.

Pls do not mess with the settings in developer mode!

If you are interested in using it to customise your device i highly advise making sure you find the settings online or ask someone here for what settings you can alter safely.

It is a place best left alone for the uninitiated.

For the most part, most users won't ever go in there. It is more for the techy folk who want to push their devices further. 👍
