Samsung oddysey g5 LC34G55TWWPXEN, freesync is greyed out and i cant get above 100hz

so i bought a odyssey g5 and i cant seem to get it to 165 or even 144, i have a MSI laptop that has a RTX4060 on it that should be able to handle it, my hdmi cable was tested with a 144 hz monitor and i was able to set it to 144 but i cant seem to be able to do that with the odyssey g5 wide monitor. i have read somewhere that you should turn on freesync but when i try to do that in the screen settings it says that its not available pls help

Make sure the HDMI cable supports 144hz I think you need a hdmi 2.1 cable for it to work properly

I have same problem...depend on your GPU used...on HDMI i can use only 144Hz...on DisplayPort i can use 165Hz. But if i connect to my notebook even via Display port i can use 144Hz only because GPU is not good.
