Samsung gallery face recognition update

Anyone who knows how to get the gallery to continue search faces in the gallery app? Mine has found 28 people/faces... Now it's not finding anymore? I tried to reset the app..

I have most of my gallery in the Onedrive cloud.. But they show up in my Samsung gallery just as I want them to do.

You are lucky, mine found 6.... I can't understand how this works. Just randomly identifies faces in some pictures and others not.

Mine recognize about 5 people every night. When charging and letting the phone charge to 100%

I have 60.786 pics, from which the gallery marked faces of 156 ppl. It offered identification of another cca 15 ppl, but that's faces I don't need to mark. Now I just cancelled these faces to be marked as the gallery didn't offer other older pictures to be marked, for quite a long time now. 

Let's see tomorrow, if those "unmarked" faces were "blocking" other pictures to be identified.

Out of curiousity, what king of device do you have? I happen to have a S25 ultra and 69 people have been recognized!

S24 Ultra

Hi, I have the S25 Ultra from the very start of the launch (with delivery delay). 

Face recognition works much better than on S24U, I now have 253 people recognized + about another 100 people hidden as they're random people.

I can't say if the S25U and Android 15 have better face recognition and its engine is better or what's the reason, but I'm pretty happy now.

Still I know there are some people the gallery didn't offer to name their faces yet, but that's just few....

I also have S25 Ultra. Still only have 7 faces 🙄

As I mentioned before. The face recognition works (in my case) only in this scenario:

1. Mobile is on charge and reaches 100%

2. The sync with OneDrive is active

3. Mobile is on WiFi

I don't know which of these conditions trigger the face recognition, just sharring my experience 😊

I also had S25 Ultra. I had 30K cloud photos (synced via OneDrive) but Gallery is not able to identify any faces from cloud. As soon I download, it detects within a day. Though all photos taken from phone, faces are detected quickly.
In my earlier S20FE 5G (older gallery version), it was able to detect people from all the cloud photos. I backed up all my google photos in one drive and Samsung gallery started showing those and detected people also but when moved to S25Ultra, nothing happened to cloud photos.

Are you able to see people tagging happening in cloud photos or photos in your phone?
