Are email notifications from "SA.noreply@notice.samsung-mail.com" about deletion of accounts after 24 months non-use legitimate? I got one on 27 May 2025 at 05:27 titled "Important changes to your Samsung account" even though I was not them a member of the Community.

Bonjour, ce n'est pas sérieux. C'est comme cela que Samsung respecte leur client ?

Hi and Salut,
i think that makes sense, though i needed to do a research first as the sender-email was different than the one during account registration (even if the diffrence was only an additional sub domain notice). I guess usually the guarantee (= warranty) for products is 2 yrs (2 annees). So in respect to guarantee/warranty issues the account won't be needed anymore. Or does there exist a longer warranty period in some eu country?
As a Software Developer i need to say that it is a common practice for companies to have some cleanup-phases when databases or webserver space are getting too big. So cleaning up inactive accounts is a normal measure against it.
Still i am not sure, if it could have been communicated more nicely.
Especially, it is not clearly enough stated what counts as an activity which stops the deactivation account making this look like a stressing pattern like used by fake emails. Looks like adding a message to a forum chat already counts as activity but a simple login maybe not. Buying some App in Samsung Store for a Smartphone Deviece should probably also count as a valid action, but for a TV this might be less reasonable.
I hope this will make still sense when translated into french.
