How to reduce Dex phone temperatures & what do you get?

What temperatures are fellow Members getting especially when using a 4k screen with Dex. I have considered this resolution for the future if i got a new screen? Is the temp the same when using it wirelessly, I plan on trying it with my old 1080p wireless Samsung TV just to test vs the 1440p monitor i have been using.

Looking at Samsung Thermal Guardian (Samsung Good Guardians) I can see my phone peaked at about 55°c using Dex on OneUI 7 yesterday on a 1440p USB C screen with full resolution enabled via Samsung Multistar's Dex options (Samsung Good Lock) which is over the default temp threshold. It felt ok though.

This is using Dex via USB C

You can customise Dex with the below options if these may have been the cause.

I❤️ Dex options on Samsung Multistar Module
Enabling the higher resolution support does state the phone will get warmer so presumably these extra 5-7°C are still actually safe temperatures to use 🤷

There were no warnings or issues at all while in use. So if the S24Ultra's default threshold is 48°C with the option to move this up or down 2°C as per your preference if you wish to improve the life of your battery by reducing this or slightly boost system performance increasing it, why can the device go over 50°C then?

Further options you can optionally choose to reduce temps. I need brightness as long as possible for taking pictures in possible bright sunlight and I've not yet tested if limiting CPU boosting effects recording video or editing.

It was interesting seing the advice on Thermal Guardian to charge on a cool hard surface when doing so wirelessly which I'm guessing is to use the surface as a suppoting giant heasink. I'd image this is the same for wired but that understandbly doesn't get as warm. I personally wirelessly charge typically overnight in a dock that has built in cooling so I presume this isnt needed. I know quiet white noise from a slow fan isn't for everyone though. This does cap at 48°c at 15W when the phones in use but is normally less than half this temp overnight when I have the phone set to use 7.5W slow charging via a Samsung Routine and the screen is off as well if I remember to actually put the phone on charge first😅.

In the Samsung Good Guardians app. This is part of the problem Samsung needs to keep settings just built into the system or at least have the option to install Good Lock/Guardians in the menu to turn these modules on. Having it hidden away in the Samsung Store isn't as user friendly as it could be.

In hindsight I probably should have put it in the Tips/How to section of Samsung Members but I wasn't really thinking just curious if It was better wirelessly. I need to try it that way as my USB C port keeps periodically not working.

What did yours show for temp? Knowing your tech habits on here you are already on a 4K screen.
