Testimony in an US Anti Trust trial revealed that Google is paying Samsung an Enormous sum each month to preinstall the app on its Devices. Google started paying Samsung this January and the arrangement is expected to last two years,Google pays Samsung a set amount for each Device plus an undisclosed percentage of the revenue generated from Advertisements. The Remedies have still to be announced.
Previously Google strengthened its grip on the Eco system by paying Samsung roughly $8 Billion to guarantee that Google search,the Play store and Google Assistant were the Default options on Samsung Devices between 2020 and 2023.
