Update: still not working no matter what I do nothing works even tried talking to my internet provider and they're of no help, just saying its "showing the router has signal".

I really need my phone to work so I can make calls from my home office 😞

---

Not sure if this is the right board, but I'm needing some suggestions cause this is really frustrating me.

My Galaxy a16 just did a big system update yesterday after noon and then also today.

the problem is, now unless I'm standing within 2 feet of my router my phone refuses to even acknowledge the router exists, where as it used to read the router while I was outside or on the second floor, but now nothing unless i'm right next to it.

my other phone, my laptop, and gaming systems are connecting to the router just fine no issues at all.

I've restarted the router several times, restarted the phone several times, gone through every setting to be sure it was what it should be/that nothing to turned off or on that shouldn't have been.

I've "forgotten" network and re logged in,  I've even cleared the Cache Partition.  I don't know what else to do, and it's impacting my ability to do work on the phone as where I'm at data tends to be a little spotty.

Hello @Phantom_Moth ,

Thank you for your question.

Sorry to hear your saved networks disappeared, but you should be able to reconnect to them. Just head over to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi, then tap the 3 dots in the corner and choose Advanced settings. Make sure that “Wi-Fi network notifications” is turned on.

Try disabling the google wifi provisioner. I've heard a lot of people are having all kind of issues with that one. You can find it in settings-apps-Google wi-fi provisioner.

Could try a hail mary and removing your simcard and putting it back. I know it sounds weird but yeah. Also try turning off automatic network selec5and manually selecting your carrier. If your using e-sim then you might need to check for updates.

You're definitely not the only one experiencing a issue with this.
