Interesting article and one subject that I was talking about to a couple of friends some days ago.
It's quite conceivable that Google just isn't ready yet for so many devices to go online so quickly to the Gemini AI servers.

Makes sense with the amount of phones that Samsung sells every year.

How do you have a 4yr old s24ultra when it only came out in 2024?

I'm doubtful. It's not like you can't install Gemini on older Samsung devices with OneUI 6.1 right now.

That's very true. On iPhone as well.
But they are a sort of lite version.
One UI 7 has a very deep integrated version of Gemini and other AI features.
Plus with Gemini premium being free for six months on the S25 series. Google will obviously prioritise the Pixel phones first.
Thing is it's all speculation anyway. But this seems more plausible some how
But I do think there's definitely an issue between Google and Samsung that they are trying to sort out
Will have to see when it all comes out later on

I don't think there's any fundamental differences. Asking Gemini, states all the cloud based functions are the same on the older Samsung devices as the S25 series. The only differences are performance with things like generative AI.

Even if this is the case, the right thing for Samsung to do is at least release a statement to say they haven't forgotten about phone users of previous models and they are working hard on releasing a stable version of One UI 7. The problem here is there is a lot of speculation, which seems to be frustrating a lot of Samsung. Personally, I'm happy to wait for One UI 7 and I'm happy with what I currently have. But a lot of customers really would like the new release and simply don't want to resort to a new model to get this.

Hi, I'm not sure if Alphabet might be holding it back, As if I know, Alphabet only owns Google. And Google owns android. So Samsung would either state this,

Samsung website: Samsung.co.uk
Google Website: Google.com
Alphabet website: abc.xyz
