Hello!
Downloaded SmartThings today but when I try to log in, it says "browser not supported" and gives a list of compatible browsers. I use Firefox and it's on the list. So I tried a bunch of other browsers from the list but with the same result.
Does anyone else experience the same problem? Anyone have an idea of why this is happening? 🙄

Hi
if you haven't already gotten Smartthings working, I have a few points you can go through
- Make sure the your default browser is Chrome. If the Default is set to a different browser type it could cause an issue.
- Make sure the you are not using a beta OS version on your phone. This can disrupt browser settings.
- Make sure the you are not using any non-standard browser settings. Similar to the above, just want to make sure there is not a strange blocker. I'd also check for VPNs, web security, things like that.

I ma using a Poco X6 Pro and I am having a similar problem. At the password page I enter my password and the screen flashes white for a millisecond and goes right back to the password page. Would really like to find a solution to this issue.

I have a Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC phone running Android 12 plus a Samsung S60B sound bar connected to a Samsung Smart TV. They work OK but I couldn't control the sound bar fully with the remote control. It's just dancing LED lights on the front of the sound bar. Although not a fan of smart phones and apps I decided to see how things would work out with the Samsung Smart Things app.
Immediate problem is that the Samsung app doesn't accept the use of the Mi browser. So, you try to change the default Xiaomi browser to something like Chrome which is listed as compatible. This resulted in a battle that lasted over a day. It isn't possible on my phone to move from the Mi browser to another and making changes to disable Mi browser didn't help either.
My conclusion was that I needed to uninstall the Mi browser - worrying because it's heavily embedded in the phone's OS. I decided to proceed anyway. You need to connect the phone to a PC with a usb cable. There are various threads available discussing Windows software that will enable you to get into the phone and uninstall apps. I certainly couldn't do this from the phone alone.
I was excited to be able to download for free a couple of programs that brought up a list of apps on the phone which could be uninstalled. There were 54 apps coming up that looked available for uninstalling but they did not include the Mi browser.
The only software that I found to do the job is ADB AppControl 1.8.6. It didn't require me to pay and it was a bit glitchy locking up the PC on the first run. On the second attempt after restarting the computer Mi browser was successfully uninstalled. I was then able to get Smart Things working and it detected my soundbar and TV. The app does give much better control of the Samsung S60B soundbar. It makes a big difference to be able to see what you are doing on the phone screen. When you set the sound bar to Standard mode you can get to grips with the controls.
You'll need patience in this situation if you cannot change the default browser to a compatible one. So far, the phone hasn't shown any issues and my use of the other browsers on the Poco X3 is not affected.
