Occasionally the Community stars team have a get together. As always thanks to the Samsung community manager team @SocietyGirl @Lucy C for organising these events.
This time the meet up was a tour of the Samsung Europe HQ offices and showroom facilities in Surrey.
The day included a site tour, followed by a walk around the displays, and demonstrations of the consumer 'Smart Home' showroom on the ground floor.
I was so engrossed in the demonstrations of the smart home, that i didn't get much media footage or photos ... I am limited to just a few photos below.
However the Samsung presenter Brandon was great and very engaging, with demonstrating the latest fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, ovens and with all controlled from the main smart display as built into the fridge.
There are so many uses for the fully automated features... recipe suggestions are available based upon the contents of the fridge, which can recognise over 30 different food types at any one time, and give meal suggestions based upon the contents. The automation will give food preparation instructions, and even then turn on the oven automatically to the correct temperature and pre-heat, ready for cooking. It is amazing how smart these interactions between all the kitchen utilities have become !
We had a break for lunch, and with a choice of selecting from either western or Korean Menu. (Of course I had to take the opportunity of the full cultural experience). Hot and sour soup, Khakdugi and garlic scape types of Kimchi (thankyou circle to search๐), a Katsu style chicken, and overall it was delicious and a great dining experience. Samsung employees are spoiled to a Korean menu like this every day should they wish ! ๐

Following lunch we walked to the 'hidden gem' of the Samsung tour... the business showroom. I have focused my main review with a short video account of this unique experience.
