Anyone having problems with Google payment, it won't let me confirm my account as it says that my phone has been rooted or altered in some way.

Yes it's a beta release, which has not been ratified by many payment mechanisms including Google Pay

Hey @odey34 

Unfortunately, due to the nature of Beta binary, it can not be accepted by Google as "official release" and some payment/banking apps may not work during the duration of Beta Programme. 
However, as soon as an official binary is released, this will not be a problem anymore
