Gmail history dissappear

Why does my Gmail search history disappear after a few minutes of inactivity? I have to log out and back in for the search history to reappear. Any ideas why? Thanks.

In the Gmail app, settings, data usage, number of days for Gmail to sync, what number do you have in there?

I have mine set to 30 days

As it seems to be a Gmail specific issue, I think it would be best to contact them directly. You can also try to clear app cache and see if it helps 🙂

I think the OP he's after the search history, not how far back emails are synced up to his phone. But seems like a weird bug.
