I have sent this to dev already although it hasn't been implemented in this beta 2
My main gripe with the gallery app is that in 8.5 they moved around some editing or completely removed them...am talking about the options that appear under a picture like portrait mode, log correction 
So for pictures the portrait option is gone ATM... you can't apply portrait mode post picture...
Some of the reflections and shadows removal don't really do anything and remaster also doesn't do much...idk what is going on maybe they are suspended ATM but in 8. they worked really good 
With the video, if you shoot in log you don't have the option to automatically apply correction in the video, you have to go in edit and then dig further to find the option...but even that one is not really working as it did before...the video still looks fuzzy and bland
I believe this are issues in this new version of the gallery and I hope they fix them
As I said I have already sent a error report to devs
