Cant completely leave the beta

I joined the beta programme only to change my mind and left it but whenever I check software update I receive a beta one ui update. I cant seem to get rid of that update even after leaving the beta and I dont want to update my phone as Ill require pc switch to go back to stock software and that'll remove some data from my phone . Its too much of a hassle

Once you enter the beta the only way to leave is to fully install it then use smart switch to revert the phone and wipe all data.

You had plenty of warnings before joining the beta

And you must create a backup using Smart Switch to fully backup your device. I tried it myself a couple of weeks ago and it worked like a dream so please don't feel anxious or put off by it. It works very well and I reset my phone very regularly to get that new phone feeling!

As already mentioned above, you can use Smart Switch to backup the device and go back to the previous software version 😊

When I first joined the beta I was put off by instability, glitches, and lack of functionality [i.e., Good Lock homeup not supported as an example] and I tried to switch back. Smart Switch didn't work for me. There is no Beta tag to one UI 8 and therefore Smart Switch didn't recognise that I could 'downgrade'. I'm therefore still here, but ultimately, I am fine now that there are stability improvements in later Beta versions. Good Lock improvements will come in time. It might be worth confirming that the downgrade option will work still or add a Beta tag so that Smart Switch knows to offer the downgrade option.

You need to leave the beta program in the members app. Then a downgrade option will appear in smart switch.

I did. It still didn't show a downgrade option for me. I'm actually glad I stayed, so no longer an issue, but I do wonder if it is a glitch for more than me.
