Just a question on camera resolutions and post image processing. Possibly not beta related.

I've taken three pictures in succession, with a ratio of 3:4. The pictures taken are 12 mpx, 50 mpx and 200 mpx. All were taken from about 35cm from the object.

After the pictures were taken, I've zoomed in to a particular area using Samsung Gallery.

I've attached the images (hopefully Samsung doesn't compress them much)

My option is that the 12mpx image is clearer and shows more detail.

The 50 and 200 mpx images look like too much post image processing has taken place.

I'm wondering what other people's options are and maybe what settings and resolution you use for pictures.

Thanks.

I guess the 12Mpx picture is doing a lot more post processing like sharpening (not sure how much pixel binning helps too). I personally found that the 200Mpx mode is only good for (bright )landscapes when post processing is not necessary needed. Cropping in those shots are way better than the 12Mpx shots.

I've reported it on past betas.
From reading other sites, I'm not the only person who has commented on the quality of 50mpx and 200 mpx photos.

In theory with a 200mpx image, I should be able to zoom in after the picture is taken and it be of clearer quality than a 12mpx one.
