My first batch Samsung S8 (apr. 2017) had no issues connecting to my Gear VR with Controller, never missed a beat.
Ever since my holiday last week to Vietnam it does not recognize the gear VR when I plug it in.
My friend's samsung S8 (Relatively new) does work immediately when it is plugged into the Gear VR.
The next test I performed is with the Anker Powercore 20100+ Powerbank which has 3 outlets. 2x Ordinairy USB and 1x Usb-C.
The normal USB to USB-C works as supposed to but the USB-C to USB-C charging does not work.
Again, it works on my friend's S8 without a problem.
I have performed a Cache wipe and Factory reset, both without any changes in behaviour.
I suspect the humidity of Vietnam has affected the USB-C port, as I used to get a lot of "Moisure Detected in Charging Port" notifications during my holiday. Is there a fix?
