I have been using Samsung Galaxy smartphones for many years now.
So when more than a year ago my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge suddenly showed a pink line on the display, I never doubted the phones hardware.

Last week Thursday I got informed about a pending update for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Without hesitation I accepted the update while having the smartphone on the charger.
The update got installed, and my smartphone rebooted.
Everything went OK, except that the pink line on the display had disappeared and that my SIM card was no longer recognized.
Doubting first on the SIM-card, I put the SIM-card in my son's phone, which worked perfectly.
So the issue was not the SIM-card.
Many Google searches later, I concluded that a factory reset would re-enable my SIM-card again.
I made good backups of all my data and did the factory reset using the volume switch and on/off button.
The factory reset went OK, all what was remaining was the device reboot.
After selecting that option, the device started the reboot but never finished:
It showed the blue led continuously on, and kept being warm.
After about 1 hour I tried responses on the keys, but nothing worked anymore.
After about 8 hours the blue led died, as well as my phone:
The phone doesn't respond on any interaction with it (key nor charging).
Now after a week, I still get no reponse on charging it, using the on/off-switch or any other key combinations.
When I wipe off my fingerprints of the device, it looks as bright new. So no scratch or damage what so-ever.
What to do now?
