Unfortunately, as for many others,green line appeared on s20+ screen

Following the latest security update, the screen of my samsung s20+ started flickering from time to time and now, during the night- the famous green line appeared from the top to the bottom. The phone never dropped, protected with samsung "military grade" case. Tried everything - rebooted, reset, cleared cache - no change, annoying green line still there. Went to the official samsung center in Brussels, was told that I have to pay for everything if I want to fix it. The phone was bought on 09/2020 and therefore the warranty is expired. However - it is not acceptable at all, that I paid so much money for samsung flagman phone and after 3 years of usage I have to get rid of it, just because, samsung probably put a bad quality screen on my device and now just dont want to take care of it. Do you think that I will ever buy any samsung stuff, when the quality is doubtfull? And I was samsung customer, since the beginning of smartphones era. Never again!

The line only appears during the night and do you also experience this when you have started your phone in Safe Mode? With the Safe Mode you start the device without installed third-party apps, the device then only boots with standard applications. tried everything, including the safe mode, line is always there (even during charging, when the screen is black and only charging % are shown). Visited already Samsung Docks Brussels, they said - replacement of the screen needed and all to be paid fully by me. It is unacceptable that I have to pay for the well-known samsung Oled screen quality issue. Furthermore, some other countries samsung centers are already offering free repairs even after 3 years. But not Europe...

you probably understand that a premium samsung phone at a premium high price was bought, expecting it to last longer than 3-4 years. The internet is full of data on faulty samsung phone screens, and other countries provide free repairs even beyond 3 year period. But not samsung Europe. Another samsung phone, even at a discount price??? No, thank you! I currently have 4 samsung products and, just because of this bad experience, I do not intend to continue with samsung when these products will need to be replaced. I only buy quality products from quality brands, which samsung is currently not. As initially planned, I will still keep my s20+ for another year or 2 and, I am sure I will get many questions - what's that annoying ugly green line on your samsung screen? I will reply - "that's what you get, when you buy a premium product from samsung... ".

Any news from Samsung on offering free screen replacement for S20+ in EU outside guarantee period as samsung did in India?

It's unfortunate that Samsung is keeping so long with recognizing the known issue. I had already 100+ people asking - what's that line on my phone screen (now interestingly turned from green to pink) and I can just reply - "it's my samsung premium phone". SAMSUNG is for sure loosing customers for this matter. Furthermore the buy back of my s20+ phone is almost 0 eur due to this screen issue and samsung has no offers whatsoever to fix that. Will have to keep it still for a while, "advertising" this ugly vertical line.
