Other SmartphonesSo my Note8, previously worked fine when I did the Smart View to my Samsung TV. But now it’s having an Audio Issue. Anytime I connect my Phone to the TV, no audio plays. The video will play, but absolutely no audio.
Ive updated my Phone Software, Apps have all been Updated, restarted Network Settings, restarted Phone.. pretty much everything I could think of.
Is there anyone that can help me?

Hi I have noticed that if you have an external audio device connected such as a sound bar it won't play through it simply disconnect the device and it works. Not sure if this would help you. Haven't figured out how to play through sound bar yet
Edit:
Ok so some apps on smart view can only be heard through the bar if PCM mode is enabled instead of digital dobly

Other SmartphonesI had this issue last night. It was working and then I must have pushed something and it stopped. It was driving me crazy I couldn't figure it out then, I saw this new tab media. It said control your Samsung devices. I clicked okay and I had the choice to play on my TV. I clicked play and I had sound again.

Other SmartphonesWe just ran into the same problem. We have a singtrix karaoke stand with dual mics and you have to plug the provided audio jack into your phone to be able to use it. Normally I Smart View to the 65in Roku TV because it feels more engaging for the person singing. Normally the audio out with go to the provided powered speaker but instead I have it running into my surround sound receiver set up. It sounds much better of course. Normally the audio settings pop up on the pull-down bar. This time it didn't so I did some research online. Finally I came across what I was looking for which I believe will help you guys and gals.
You need to launch the app called SmartThings, agree to the terms and conditions and if you want to sign in as well. The phone that we're using for the karaoke is a Galaxy Note 5 which doesn't have an account signed into. So I decided to not add a Google account or Samsung account but only accept the terms and conditions and then back out. Once I did that and repeated the steps with Smart View to the TV and then start playing some karaoke through YouTube I was able to redirect the audio to the audio jack instead of the TV which in turn passed-through the singtrix and to the amplifier with the microphone input mixed in.
Okay so the short answer is the "Smart Things" app.
You need to agree to the terms and conditions of the SmartThings app. Then the audio controls will be available in the pull-down bar.

Other SmartphonesHi, yesterday I did a phone update on my s10+ (Feb 14th 2020) and when I use the smart view to my tv (mu7070) I loose the surround sound and the sound diverts to just the tv speakers. Had no problems previous to this update but the surround option on the tv disappears and reappears when I disconnect the smart view.
Please fix so I can hear the surround again whilst mirroring content from my phone.

Other SmartphonesProblem solved, I swapped to 5GHz on the tv but all surround speakers are on 2.4GHz so I dont get it, but all works as it should again. I set my surround to 2.4GHz as Im not sure that my soundbar HW-H751 connects on 5GHz. I have the M3 surround speakers from the same era (2015) that are also set to 2.4GHz and use the multi-room hub. Would of thought they would all need to work on the same network??

Other SmartphonesThat worked for me. I kept getting an error message saying 'you can't adjust the sound while the device is muted' while I was trying to use the volume on my S20. I usually have media muted when I play games so as not to annoy others. Going to the sound section of the settings and increasing the Media sound worked. I might add that if SMart Things offers you video "or" audio but not both, it is being caused by the same issue.

Other SmartphonesSHould not matter. The media sound on your SMart Phone is primary control. ANy of your normal TV sound settings should work the same as they do with cable etc.

Other SmartphonesOnce I corrected the Media volume on the phone as suggested, my wsound worked on the sound bar through the TV connection. It should not be necessary to connect the phone to the sound bar.
