my s8 edge got stuck in a boot loop
after a factory reset
it happened again a few days later when restarting my phone
i took the ohone back and got a new replacement
all has been well for two weeks
but its happened again. the phone turned itself off. and now bootloop
i domt know why this is happening and whats causing it.
dont know what to do

just remember on the first phone when i factory resetted from bootloop it fixed that issue
but the final reason i returned it was cause it got stuck om the android is starting optimismg app 137 of 137
then i returned it
now om this second model it got stuck on bootloop
so i removed the sd card. restarted the phone
and its now stuck the android is optimisnf screen and again 137 of 137
which is weird as i have more apps now on the 2nd model
Are you able to get your phone into recovery mode?
Press and hold the Power, Home and Volume Up when your phone is off. Once your phone vibrates you can release all buttons, in a minute or so the recovery menu will be displayed.
From there, use the volume keys to scroll to Clear Cache Partition (press power to select).
Once this is done you can scroll down to Reboot System Now.
i tried this
and no luck
i've factory resetted again
i formatted my sd card in case this has been causing the issue
i feel like a rogue app is casuing this seeing as 2 different models and stil the same issue
is there anyway to log or find out whats happening with apps in case it happens again
Lets try starting your phone into Safe Mode: this will disable all third party applications temporarily, to see if they are the root cause of the issues you’re having.
To do this, turn off your phone then hold down the Power button to turn your phone back on, then as it is starting back up, hold down the Volume Down button until the home screen appears. Safe Mode will now display in the Left hand corner.

as i need my phone for work i factory resetted and it have done a restore
is there any way of identifying going forward what app is causing an issue
or some kind of log app that uploads data so if it happens again i can send this log on to see if a particular app is causing failure
If there is a third party app causing the problem then the issue wont be present in Safe Mode, becasue all of the apps are disabled. You would then have to go through all of your apps and remove then so you can identify which one is casuing the problem.
You can also report the issues via the Samsung Members: Open Members app > Select Support > Send Feedback > Error Reports > Application > Tick Send System Log Data and attach a description of the problem
i've done the samsung thing
if it is an app it feels like it will be impossible to find out which one
and if its not an app and something else then no idea
all my apps are app store and pretty well known apps
i moved from an s7 to the s8. and never had thiese issues before
so already feel like this will happen again soon enough
no i have not as cause i factory resetted everything is fine again
im just expecting it to happen again soon
i'll do the safe mode thing when it does
just trying to work out how to prevent it happening.
takes so long to restore everything and always lose a few days of data
i've seen loads of people go through this online. not sure what i have in common with them
and cause its happened on 2 phones now. its a mystery
