It now would seem that Samsung has yet again dropped the ball in respects to the the repair and return of my phone. I get brief communications with varying members of varying Samsung departments. However, no single Samsung employee has offered themselves as a Point-Of-Contact or a Supervisor as I have requested, many, many times. I can only suspect,  It's simply become a game of evasion by Samsung. I am forced after making many, many phone calls to seek legal assistance as I have little other option, due to my phone not being returned to me. See below, the details of this theft. My almost new Samsung Galaxy S8 had an issue with the rear camera auto focus sticking when initiating the camera. (To unlock the stuck lens, you had to physically bang the phone against something, this would unjamb the focusing apparatus and allow clear photo's to be taken).
I complained to Samsung. They said they would send a UPS box out. A box arrived at my house whilst I was at work. I was informed that my phone would be wiped and that I might do it, before sending it in for security purposes.
It took me a few days to make notes of all the accounts, data and apps I had on my phone. Some of them (BitCoin related) cannot be simply backed up to the cloud.
I packaged the phone up with the assistance of witnesses and even put extra tape on the UPS box. We dropped the package off at a UPS Access point on Monday 29th of January 2018. Since then, I have tracked the package arriving at the Samsung service center. It arrived there the following day. The Samsung service rep, via Facebook had informed me that the turnaround time would be between 7-10 days. I called after 7 days to see what the status of my phone was? I was informed that they didn't know, as they couldn't find my phone. I was told to call Samsung service department. They said the phone had been lost. I was communicated with Samsung's Facebook messenger people. They claimed the Samsung S8, WAS at the Service Center. I've been in touch with varying bodies at Samsung several times now, over this last 14 days. And no one at Samsung seems to have a real clue as to what the status of my phone is? I just get empty platitudes and appeasement. BUT NO PHONE!!! It seems like they are passing the hot potato issue back and forth between departments, until I am forced to accept that Samsung stole my £800 phone, and I'm going to have to buy a new phone. Most definitely not a Samsung. That's for sure.My almost new Samsung Galaxy S8 had an issue with the rear camera auto focus sticking when initiating the camera.
