in message settings - more settings -text messages there is :
delivery reports
manage sim card messages
input mode
message centre
If I touch and hold input mode I get 3 choices
GSM alphabet
Unicode
Automatic
Which of these should I be using - some of my sent messages are not being received and I wondered if this setting may have an inpact. When I sent a message earlier a pop up came up saying something along the lines that special charactors or emoji may not be supported by current mode - change input mode and try again
This is my first samsung phone and I'm still finding my way round - any ideas/ suggestions would be very welcome
thanks

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking that was probably the best choice but couldn't find any explanation as to what each setting did.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

"Samsung Galaxy S7 Active"
I have an issue where when I text "android users only" and close out of the conversation and go back to the main thread of conversations in messages; it will immediately delete the entire conversation. Like it never happened.
Granted I know how to recover them, but that is a ***** pain. If i don't delete the conversation thread it shouldn't disappear.

I'm having this problem with my s9 but when I click on settings the only option is manage sim card messages. I've called my service provider and they said it's something to do with the phone, called the place I got the phone and they said it's something to do with the provider. Smh
