S8+ Movie Maker missing after software upgrade

Hi. 

One of the main features I use on the Samsung is Camera and video editor/ movie maker. 

Having just been prompted to upgrade thinking my phone would be enhanced, I,ve realised I have been royally "ripped off" . In fact I'm fuming to be honest. I bought the phone which as you know are not cheap with this feature then taken it away. 

I've been trying to find out what the score is. When calling and online chats, neither can comment or have any clue . Best they say is send your phone away for repair.  How stupid it's not broke!!!.

If you find a work around please post, it was my favourite feature if this phone!!

I too was sad to see this

I use powerdirector mostly now anyway

I have found that the movie maker app is still on my phone. Just not in the gallery.

Open the app, add the video you want to edit, then away you go. 

Never update phone again, as once updated to Android P, it will delete everything in video editor.

@Andymags: If you capture a video on your S8, open your Gallery and select the video you should see a pen symbol at the foot of the screen which will open up your editing options.

What do you do after opening the editor?  Doesn't work the same at all then asks for resolution which doesn't seem to do anything.  Can't save??
