S8+ Bluetooth Issues from fingerprint lock

Hi Guys,

I've been having an ongoing problem with my Bluetooth connection, have a smartwatch that I use most days and Bluetooth headphones.

My S8+ will turn off bluetooth completely when unlocked by fingerprint scanner. It is an intermittent issue. This is an improvement since the latest update, before that it would randomly disconnect and take a while to get connected again.

My S7 edge never seemed to have this issue.

My headphones and smartwatch have the latest firmware and have tried clearing caches for the Bluetooth, wipe cache partition etc.

I'd love some advice and a fix.

Thanks!

Hey @Kappa0698! Where you able to clear the data of the '' app?:

1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Apps.
4. Select Menu.
5. Select Show system apps.
6. Select the Bluetooth Share
7. Select Storage.
8. Select Clear data.

Are you able to clear this data? Please let us know how you get on!:robothappy:

Hi @CarolinaW,

I've tried this and unfortunately this has made no difference at all. It seems to be from unlocking the phone the Bluetooth process crashes and has to restart. It's incredibly annoying!

Thanks,
