Just downloaded the One UI 6.1 update on my S21 and have never wanted to undo something so badly. My lock screen widgets no longer alow me to skip or pause my music, podcast, or audiobooks, which is EXTREMELY frustrating. I now have to log into my phone and go into the app just to pause/play something every time. I regret downloading this update so much i actually threw my phone across the room. I hope someone somewhere that can fix this problem sees this and fixes it soon.

P.s. ive gone into all the settings and toggled with everything to try and fix it and nothing does.

Hello @DeniseStanton and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

I'm sorry to hear your not liking what the recent update has done to your phone.

As you cannot roll back a software update via the phone's own internal settings I would suggest the following as troubleshooting steps.

  • 1. Make sure all your apps are updated.
  • 2. Soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On.
  • 3. Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
  • 4. Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.
  • 5. Last resort js back up and factory reset.
  • 6. Send feedback via your Samsung Members App because the Samsung Development Team would not see your post here on the forum.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
