Note8 camera voice control

 I can go to camera settings and turn on voice control but when I return there the voice control button has turned itself off. The camera voice control therefore never works. Can anyone help please?

I had the same problem and turned off 'Bixby voice wake up'.  That fixed it.  Give it a go.

Yes, after posting my question I got the answer from Samsung Tech Support and you cannot control the camera by voice whilst Bixby voice wake up was turned on.

Wow, that's so RUBBISH!!! Why would one affect the other?

Samsung can you please explain why One Stops the other from working they are both to do with voice and you're not turning on your phone when it is already on and you're using the camera so what is the point.

This also worked for my Galaxy S8. Thanks for the advice. I would have thought they would have fixed this by now. Oh well, small price to pay for an awesome phone.

SAMSUNG, HAVE YOU FIXED THIS YET???????

Using the camera with your voice is very useful and I use it all the time. However, it will not work when Bixby Wake Up is enabled which is ridiculous. One should not affect the other. Why has this not yet been fixed?

I disabled Bixby altogether because the voice control of the camera is more important to me than Bixby.

I have Bixby disabled. However "Shoot" and "Record Video" don't work. All other commands listed work just fine. I am on Android 9 with Kernel version 4.4.153-1548-805.
