How to sort gallery galaxy s8

Hi,

***** question alert! How do I sort the photos in my gallery on my galaxy s8? At the moment, it appears to be sorted by date, but for eg, every photo I've ever taken on a certain date is displayed on that day, ie, i have april 29th, that shows photos from April 29th 2017, 2016, gong back to 2012. I don't want it like that, i want them LITERALLY like a rolling calender, how they used to be on my s6, can anyone help?

Hi @Nicki,

Don't worry never be worried to ask for help when you load up the gallery app use two fingers and do the "pinch" action (and keep doing so until it forms months) this will condense the pictures in to smaller thumbnails making  it easier to see them like it used to be, to reverse is use two fingers and go from "pinch" to expand this will return it to the standard view. Hope that helps you out   *Like and click solution is solved*

Hi, i need similar help with my Note8.

I've just migrated from Note5, in N5 i can browse my Gallery by date (date of picture taking are shown) but in N8 gallery (basic setting) the dates are not shown, should i do a certain setting to have it shown in N8?

You are a genius!! This has been driving me nuts for ages! My gallery was displaying photos taken in the month as opposed to showing them by the day, which is my preference. I've never managed to come across a solution until now.

My pictures showed the album on the left whilst previewing the pics. I would select the album and I would pick what I want. I dont know how I mistakenly 'pinched' today now they are sorted by date but mixing camera, WhatsApp, screenshots 😭😭. I did this error before and also erroneously fixed it kkkkk. I use S8+
