Hello @lisa17071977 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
Accidental damage isn't covered under the Samsung Limited Manufacturer's Warranty so a fee would be charged.
However the issue may not just be the smashed screen, as the impact may have caused issues inside the phone too.
Use this link to set up a Repair https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/ and then once the phone has been assessed they will provide a costing which you can accept or not.
A Samsung Experience Store can assist too.
Samsung provide a doorstep repair service in some regions too.
Some House Contents Insurance covers phone's, as well as some Bank accounts provide cover as a perk of the account. T&C's and excess fee's may apply.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
