A few weeks ago I dropped my phone in a toilet with my phone case on. ( I took off the phone case ) Nothing seemed to happen until today when I was on my phone it froze, repeating the same sound over and over.

I just restarted my phone and it went back to normal.

But, when I went to use my phone at night it froze again. Hit the top of the screen a few times (not too hard) and restarted it back to normal. Few seconds later the display got really glitchy so I restarted and took my case off. My phone went into a boot loop. Then I tried to recover into this cyan screen but a part of the display on the right was messed up a bit. I got stuck on that screen so I held my volume buttons & power in and restarted. I went into this menus where I needed to navigate with power buttons. I didnt factory reset and tried again. Boot loop again, then the bottom screen was glitched out, restarted countless times only for a boot loop or stuck on the boot screen. Eventually the screen went to my home screen but it died (was 0%) and I plugged in and tried again. Boot loop or stuck on the screen again. Now my screen is completely black and the phone is unresponsive.

Is my display/screen broke or is it some kind of software malfunction?? I also got a "vbmeta error" and two orange lines at the top of my screen. Please help!!

Edit: after massaging front and back it works!
Edit 2: nevermind, turns off after ~1m of use? massaging the front and back then turning on works but black screens after a minute

Did you turn it off and leave it to dry out fully. Water inside phone may have caused some damaged.

Just looked this up on Google. The A14 device doesn't have an IP rating, so it's not dust or water resistant. You'll want to be careful with it in the rain, near a pool, and at the beach.

I'm guessing water definitely has got inside the phone. The first thing you should have done was power off the device. Left it to dry out a for few days. But this still wouldn't have guaranteed any damage. I would say it's most likely water damage. You could contact Samsung about a repair if its what you would like. Or maybe time for a new phone.

hmm ok, its now doing a boot loop though. and doing the volume down + power then volume up doesn't work. Even recovery mode doesn't work.

I don't understand tho since it worked fine a minute ago

Edit: after holding in power button it now works?? phone is laggy tho
