Other SmartphonesHey @SoftwareUpdate
This is a feature with the newest update, once the notifications are cleared from the panel they badge icon will also disappear.

Other SmartphonesThis is not a feature it is a hinderance. I know of many people who will not buy Samsung because of this.
Reading 1 message when you have other unread messages should not cause the count to go to zero, and clear the badge count. I was fine in previous OS.

Other SmartphonesI completely understand!
I'd recommend submitting your feedback through the Samsung Members app so the Developers get it directly.

Other SmartphonesHi, total waste of time, I've spent last few months trying all avenues including app but all I get is waffle back from them. It seems Samsung is only Android phone that this is happening to, other makes with Oreo still have badge count features as before. This is a real pity as I do believe that Samsung were well and truly leading the race, not so sure anymore

Other SmartphonesWhere shall we post a message so the developers see it?
Our company has many many Samsung devices and now they are all useless as a personal assistant device.
