I open my edge panel and choose a contact to call from the direct call panel. It automatically opens Viber, if I remove Viber it works normally. I can't find any settings on Viber or in Direct Call Panel to fix this issue.
Viber takes over the Phone Call.
Though using the "People Edge" works normally.
any fixes for that issue?

Try to delete Viber and when you reinstall it do not allow call management. I hope it workes.

Can you be more specific. I enter viber in setting apps, but therse no clear default. Only clear cache

Nothing fixed this issue with me since then, except uninstalling viber totally. Whenever I need viber I reinstall it and so on.
Nothing seems to fix this issue with me while viber is installed.

Just follow the sequence as it is written, settings, applications, manage applications. Then find viber under manage applications, then press clear default

I have this wierd problem too. I changed phones (the same phone Note 20 ultra both) and on old one never had this proble. New phone - nothing works. Please fix this!

Try to go to settings then apps, then scroll down to phone, click on phone and make sure under calling app the word phone appears. I hope this will help.

Turn off Viber Call in Viber app settings..
Then Force Stop the Viber App in settings..
Try to call again using phone call or in contact or through messaging app
