s21 ultra exynos - my opinion

Hi guys

Just wanted to give my opinion on my s21 ultra exynos version.

So before I got my phone I done a bit of research, I mean spending £1000+ I'd be mad not to.i had concerns about about the overheating issues some people were having and the whole exynos v Snapdragon debate.

But in the end I decided to take the plunge and I got to be honest I'm so glad I did.ok yeah it's expensive but it really is a premium phone,I've had many many phones in the past and this is definitely the most premium of them all.and I love my phones I currently own 4 of them it's an addiction 😅.

Anyway like I said I have the exynos version (UK) and these are my pros and cons.

Pros:

1) battery is pretty solid,I'm currently on 77% battery with 3.5 hours SOT

2)it's super smooth just like my OnePlus 8t which is impressive

3)the display is just beautiful 😍

4)it's packed full of features,so much so I'll probably never even find them all

5)the design build of the phone is beautiful (I have the black one)

6)not had any overheating issues,the phone got warm when I transferred my data over from one of my other phones but I mean warm not "hot"

7)oh yeah the cameras are brilliant,I mean I'm not really one for taking lots of pictures so I'm no expert but definitely the best I've used on a phone.

Cons:

1)no charger/headphones in the box,I mean if you spend this much on a phone Samsung should give you the option to receive one free of charge if you don't have one already.

2)the phone is big,now this can be a pro or con,me personally I like it but just thought I'd put it in cons to fill the space😂

I would also like to give a mention to Samsung customer service who have been brilliant and the Samsung community some helpful people out there 👍.

Anyway that's my thoughts,thank you for coming to my Ted talk 😉

that's fair enough ash,yeah probably not much point going from S20 to s21 I guess.
my Mrs says I need to got to PA(phones anonymous) meeting 🤣 cause I'm obsessed with the bloody things.
I will most likely get one of the s22 series as well.
certainly looking forward to seeing what the next generation of phones offer.

yea I have the same issue I don't think I have had a phone longer than 9 months since 2017 so this year I am determined to wait till the s22 which by them would make this phone 15 months old, and I certainly couldn't tell you when I last kept a phone 24 months, I think 18 months is my record of the last 10 years 🤣

I can only dream of battery like you 2 are getting, I suppose I got it with my iphone 11 pro but with small Samsungs I think it's just something you have to live with

definely, well since lockdown began this is what I have had since last march so I began lockdown with my S10 plus purchased in 2019 which I unfortunately broke, then I got an iPhone 11 in April, hated the 720p lcd screen so in June I got an 11 pro, then the bugs came along and notification problems, so in October got a oneplus 8 pro lovely phone but riddled with screen issues so 3 weeks later returned it and got an S20FE hated that because its was bulky and the chrome ring round the camera did my head in and the battery life was shocking, it used the front camera as a light sensor so that used 15% a day, then I got my S20 5G in November and I am finally settled 🤣 so yea a support group would be good but you would better off being the administrator not me.🤣🤣🤣

and to add that I am very happy with my S20 5G but still itching for something else but I am keeping it till S22 is announced. I am not going to get the note in September, I am not going to by a fold or an s21 (he hopes 🙄😒😇)

I don't think lockdown has helped with my addiction, although I've always been obsessed with phones since getting iPhone 4 back in the day,but lockdown has definitely fuelled the fire.
sitting around doing nothing but scrolling through YouTube looking at all the new up and coming phone,it's like phone porn 🤣.
I've even got a new phone just to pick my mood up(retail therapy).
although I absolutely love the s21 ultra I can't say for definite I will not buy a new phone within a year.
my opinion is you should of tried the OnePlus 8t that's an awesome phone also,glad you have finally settled on a phone at least for now 🤣.

yea I agree sounds like we are similar with phones, I go back to work on 15th March so when that's happens I will be OK I just have to make it till then, I have nearly bought an S21 twice but managed to stop I don't even need one in some ways it's actually backwards to mine 🤣 yea my addiction started at the iPhone 4s and its been a jump to iphone and samsung for years, yes I think If I had bought the 8t I probably would have stuck with them for a bit. I just need to stay strong and get to march once I start work again a new phone will be last thing on my mind and will hopefully achieve my goal of getting to the s22, my Mrs is OK but she gets annoyed when I flip from apple to Sammy or vice versa because accessories come with it I.e watches buds and tabs🤣 she's fine as long as I stay with the same manufacturer

I even have air pods pro apple watch 4 and ipad 2018 laying about incase I jump again 🤣 honestly it's actually a problem when you think about it!

yeah getting back to work should help,not sure when we are going back yet,as we both work in a pub and I have a feeling we will be one of the last places to open.
what job do you do?,I'm a chef and to be honest I'm at the stage where I'm actually missing the hectic bull*****tery of it all 🤣.
it's funny how you said you nearly bought a couple of times,I must of got all the way to the confirmation of payment page at least 5 or 6 times before I eventually bought it😅.
