I have tried to search for updates on the phone unsuccessfully and also Samsung Smart switch telling me that its up to date with the last security patch being May 1, 2020. Can anyone help resolve this?

Hello Sam, please go to settings, about phone and let me know your service provider software version and the build number.
If you have access to a PC you could try to update using Smart Switch for PC.

I have also tried using Smart Switch to update but it just says it's up to date.

Hi that's a US device (Sprint) which would explain the lack of updates. You will have to track down the latest firmware and manually update it.
I am unable to discuss on the Samsung forum as this contravenes the rules, sorry. Try posting in Android Central as I'm sure they can help
