Notifications changed with update in late 2022

My ability to pick a separate sound for each app changed with a software update in late 2022.  I thought that maybe Google or Verizon might correct this, but it's now the end of May, and no corrections have taken place.  Is there a way to set separate sounds for alerts for my apps on Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra?

Hello @Kglazier67

Which apps are you experiencing issues with  ?

Personally I go into Settings > Apps > Choose the App ~ for example email ~ > Notifications > Notification Categories > New Email > Sound > Choose the sound.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

You need to go into the notications settings for what app you want to change the sound for

Almost every app except my Gmail accounts and text messaging.  All other apps only allow me to use one notification sound.  A Verizon store representative couldn't get set the notification tones to be separate either.

I've tried that - no luck.
