No sound when using screen recorder

I have started encountering an issue recently with screen recording. Basically as soon as the recording starts, the audio goes off and there is still no volume on playback either. This didnt used to happen. Media and mic are ticked as usual. Anybody have a fix?

Why on earth can I not edit a video to audio and mic/or audio only once recorded a video? I recorded something yesterday that lasted about 1 hour & 30 minutes. However, when I go to play the video, all you can hear is the audio from my phone and not what is actually going on in the background. Is there any way to fix this?

I thought I had the same problem. I played back my screen recording and there was no sound. But then I pressed the up volume button on my tablet during playback and the sound came back. So I guess it was muted even though I saw no indicator or way to unmute in the player. I was using the gallery app to play back the screen recording.
