I consistently have to re boot my phone because when I make a call they can't hear me and I can't hear them. I have to reboot my s21 ultra to have it work again. Frustrating!!!!!!

Any advice would be most welcome

Is this happening in a particular area or everywhere @Members_M8iyvAg  ?

If in a particular area then check with any available network mast checker your mobile network provides to see if any cell masts are showing a known fault.

Contact your networks customer services to ask.

As a process of elimination try your sim card in another phone and another sim card in your phone.

This will help to rule out the sim card or phone at issue.

You can reset network settings in your phone via Settings.  General Management,  Reset and then Reset Network Settings.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I had the same problem; turned out I pressed "volume up" and "power" key simultaneously at one point or another, which mutes all sound or something. Pressing it again toggles off

I have the same problem but not only when making calls also there is no sound when receiving calls.

The person calling gets no sound from me either.

Only way to get sound is to reboot phone.

Hi

I had similar problems since I have switched my secondary SIM card from the same provider (P4 in Poland) as my primary SIM card to different one (Polkomtel), so I could have mobile service from two different providers. Issue affecred both SIM cards - from time to time call audio randomly stopped working and only rebooting phone helped.

I have removed second SIM card and now I'm on my primary SIM (P4) only and so far issue didn't reproduce. My guess is that either some bug in dual sim mode or my second provider caused some issue that affected calls handled by both SIM cards.

Same issue here (S21+), been a problem for some time. Nothing works, even switching to use bluetooth. Only a reboot brings back the audio. It's embarrassing for a flagship phone. I haven't tried the hard reset approach (yet) due to the inconvenience, but have done everything else suggested.

@EmmettBrown @ This was the only working solution for me after spending hours reading so many posts and trying all the crazy solutions that were claimed to work. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have 2 sim cards and same problem...no sound on both Samsung from either me or the receiver. So confirms it is not a sim or network issue but a phone issue
