messages app keeps crashing!!

hi, my messages app has started to crash all of a sudden. 

I can go ino messages and seenlist of conversation, but wen I enter into the conversation either to type or even read the txt message, within 3s the app crashes.

.I have all the latest updates, i have cleared the cache and data from storage app, restarted phone, still no joy. this is very frustrating as i txt a lot. 

any help guys

Settings > Apps > Meet > Disable

It seems when Google updated Meet it screwed Samsung Messages a little. I hear Samsung is working on an update for messages to fix it, keep an eye on Galaxy Store updates, but the above is a quick fix for now

hi, thanks for Yr reply, I have disabled meet, and so far seems to be working, bizarrely on Mt other phone s22 ultra meet is not disabled, but my messages app is working fine....

You have to force stop the Google Meet app and uninstall the updates to that app, your messages app should then work as it should. Apparently the updates to the Google Meet app is effecting the Samsung Messages app. Google has yet to respond to Samsung's request to solved the issue after Samsung was made awhere of the problem.

Keith! Google released an update to Google Meet two days ago which resolves this issue. I posted about this yesterday as you know.

Google have already released an update (29th May) for the Google Meet app which resolves this.

I don't have any issues. Referring to the issue that was posted on Sammobile.com that Google is to blame for the messages app crashing and to take them steps until Google resolved the issue with their Google Meet app. People are still complaining on here.

Yes, and as said Google have resolved it by releasing an update 2 days ago. People are still complaining because they've only just come across the problem and they haven't updated the Google Meet app yet.
