Settings > Apps > Meet > Disable

It seems when Google updated Meet it screwed Samsung Messages a little. I hear Samsung is working on an update for messages to fix it, keep an eye on Galaxy Store updates, but the above is a quick fix for now

You have to force stop the Google Meet app and uninstall the updates to that app, your messages app should then work as it should. Apparently the updates to the Google Meet app is effecting the Samsung Messages app. Google has yet to respond to Samsung's request to solved the issue after Samsung was made awhere of the problem.

Keith! Google released an update to Google Meet two days ago which resolves this issue. I posted about this yesterday as you know.

I don't have any issues. Referring to the issue that was posted on Sammobile.com that Google is to blame for the messages app crashing and to take them steps until Google resolved the issue with their Google Meet app. People are still complaining on here.

Yes, and as said Google have resolved it by releasing an update 2 days ago. People are still complaining because they've only just come across the problem and they haven't updated the Google Meet app yet.
