I had the same problem but now it's suddenly working. I didn't do anything.

****UPDATE... 26 hours later from updating to official. I powered off my phone. Switched back on and it's all of a sudden working...I have Google pay back. 🤪

same issue here, removed and reinstalled no luck cache removed still not working

Settings, apps and go to Google play services. 3 dots and uninstall updates. Open Google pay and I should say updating. Then should work

Thanks, worked for me too, been pulling my hair out with this one, I've posted a new thread with this fix for all to find.
