Hi
I'm having a similar problem with my S21 Ultra that another user had with his S10 a few years ago with the difference that it has never worked.
I can't attach a picture to a text message or create a mms using samsung default Messages app. The only options I get when pressing the + icon left of the input field is 'quick response' and 'shedule message'. I have done the following so far:
- Restart phone
- Clear cache
- Clear app data
- Look at permissions and allow all
- Tried adding a photo to the clipboard and then paste it in the text field, but the image was not selectable and grayed out.
- Activating safe mode, but same result.
- Tried sharing a picture from my gallery, but I have no option to choose the Messages app.
- Factory reset.
What could be wrong? Why does it seem the feature is not there at all. Any help appreciated.
My app version is 12.2.20.21

Hi @MrShan
As MMS is typically a chargeable service by your Network Provider this service may need to be provisioned on your account to work.
Also make sure your Apn settings are correct under Settings, Connections, Mobile Networks, Access Point Names. Look at the MMS parts and then look on your networks support pages to ensure that they are correct.
In my Samsung Messages app there I s a setting.
Launch the Samsung messages app.
Press the 3 little dots on the right hand side and a pop up should appear.
Settings.
More Settings.
Multimedia messages.
Look at any relevant settings.
Ultimately it will need provisioning on your network account.
Personally I prefer to send pictures via WhatsApp or Facebook messenger or email as these are free and not restricted to a file size limit like MMS messages are.

Hi @bandOfBrothers
I should've added it to my post. I can send MMS through other apps so its not a Network provider issue. I can't even see the MMS setting in the message app. I agree there are other apps to send pictures but everyone don't have whatsapp, facebook etc.

Mms are sent through a messaging app such as Samsung messages.
Can you say which " other apps " your sending mms through please ?

Have same problem, but cannot send pictures through other apps (gallery, etc) or anything cellular related like that, only snap/email/etc.

I have the same issue, no option to share via messages app in gallery and no option to attach from within the default sms app.
Other messaging apps work fine.

Had the same problem and what helped me was:
Restart the phone and a popup was always asking me to insert my phone number and i kept cancelling it, well this time i inserted the number which added extra functionality to the sms app including adding pictures.
