My phone updated to One UI 6 yesterday, I have a S21fe. Since updating the camera doesn't work in the camera app or any other apps, or in safe mode. I get a black screen or sometimes a blurry image and then a message saying warning camera failed and the app closes. I've tried resetting the camera app, clearing cache and it hasn't made a difference. From what I've read online it sounds like this is likely to be a software issue, but it's worth saying I also dropped my phone yesterday and had to get a new screen so could also be a hardware issue but I don't know how to tell and don't want to spend a load more money on a new camera if it's actually a software bug! Can anyone help?

Try taking it to a service and find out, I would suggest to find an authorised service, because it's not clear yet wether it's software or hardware issue.

Hi there
Have seen a few posts and comments out and about for this issue. Haven't seen a fix yet but I'm 100% sure it is software related.
Please go to Samsung Members App, click on menu bottom right then select feedback and copy your post across to there. The Samsung Developers should see it and hopefully a fix will be rolled out asap.
(But people need to tell Samsung!!!)

It doesn't sound like a software issue unless there's some specific application that you may have installed which somehow conflicts with the camera, but it's unlikely from what you've described. A drop is much more likely the reason for the camera failing, but as stated, it's best to take it to a service center to have checked out.

I ended up getting the camera replaced and it's all working now, so seems like it was a hardware issue for me
