Thanks for the advise. I follow the instruction to wipe cache partition. But I never get to the menu holding "wipe cache partition"

1. Connect phone via USB to pc.

2.power off phone.

3.power on, by holding power+volumeUp buttons pressed.

4.when "samsung" appears release only power.

5.when blue-screen appears also release volume-up button

=====after 5. my phone just starts as normal???

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer using USBC to USBC (you can also connect to another USBC enabled Samsung mobile).
Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release all both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
You can also Repair apps via the Recovery Menu.

Thanks. I have now cleared the cashe.

23.feb: 43% battery used, screen-on 45minutes.

29.feb: 46% battery used, screen-on 25 minutes. (BlueTooth off)

My conclusion: it is better, but did not solve the problem.

I did this no problem, but it is still eating the battery. I updated on June 4 to new security patch and it's been terrible since...any other ideas? I checked background apps but even when sitting idle I lost 10% over an hour.

Me too since updating the software battery has been terrible. Will not be updating again. So disappointed. Seems like they are doing what the iPhone did to their customers. This is them killing our phones faster so we can buy a new one.
