Battery drain after Android 12 update

Hi there,

I have a S10 Spanish version (PHE). I have installed the last OTA update. (see software details at the end of this post)
Since then I have experienced battery drain. I consume twice more than before the update.
I use to charge my phone up to 75% and I use it until the end of the day (08:00 PM) with 25% remaining. Since the update to android 12, I am at 25% battery remaining at 02:00 PM.

After updating, I have boot in recovery wipe the cache. I have tried to wipe again the cache and run the Repair App. Same issue.
I have look to the "battery & maintenance care" and no app looks to consume more than before the update.
I have also done a "Reset App preferences" and reboot multiple time the device.

I use Tinycore for years and for CPU frequency since android 10. I can see that the frequency never stay to the minimum, always between 30% and 50%. Before update it use to be at minimum when idle but screen on. --> I am totally unable to figure out what generate this CPU usage.
BTW, when the phone is idle with screen off, I do not have the battery drain issue. Only have battery drain when I use the phone (Screen on)

How can I sort this out?
How can I diagnose the culprit app or service?

As a specificity, I use Package Disabler Pro.

Thanks for your help.

I have the same issue.
Tried clearing the cache, repariring apps, nothing works.
I bought a second hand S10+ and thought the batery might be in the end of its lifcycle, so I switched it for a new one, and yet the problem presists. New battery and still its being drained quickly with only around 3-4 SOT.
I'm thinking of rolling the android 12 update back to android 11.
I don't think Samsung will be fixing this issue any time soon since the device is reaching the end of its update cycle, and the new updates take longer to arrive.

I'm having the same issue with my F62. The battery is very very bad after the update.

Please Resolve it and provide the patch update.

my batteries systematically drains faster after huge updates since my galaxy s6. before updating im running same youtube video with same brightness, volume, wifi\lte\BT connections settings, and difference in draining speed is around 40%. at this point, after at least 3 tested different samsung devices, i assumed that it is a built-in obsolescence feature

Hello everyone,

As a S20+ 5G user, I've been facing the same battery drain issue that has annoyed us all since we upgraded our devices to Android 12. After trying many options, including performing factory reset, reinstalling the firmware from scratch with odin, etc. I was about to quit, when I thought of disabling the Adaptive Battery mode (Settings>Device and battery care>Battery>More battery settings); with this, I noticed a HUGE change in the battery performance, it is almost the same as it was when I had Android 11 (I did it a couple days ago and so far, so good).

I hope this will be helpful for you, so when can still take the best of our devices.

Regards,

Same problem here, the battery consumption seems to be extraordinarily high during standby. Some at least 4 times as much as it used to be....
