@JWCYour screenshot shows that it was originally on, "OXM", CSC code, which is the non area specific code that Samsung phones usually come with until they are set up by the user.
Other than you being in Italy or using an Italian SIM card or settings when setting up, I can offer no further explanation. Maybe a call to Samsung might be in order.
