Tutorial. The technique using telephoto lens for landscape photography gives some unique perspectives thanks to compression of the background with the foreground.
Our community members have put our device to test, and shares how to best take landscape photos with your Samsung device.
Follow these tips and tricks:
- Find an interesting composition where the main subject is quite far away from the background. Tips: city skylines with interesting sky as the background.
- Open the camera app on your device. Choose 3x or 10x camera. Point it at your subject. Remember, the 3x and 10x are ideal in decent lighting scenarios. Plan your photos accordingly
- Experiment with your composition. Find interesting patterns, lines or shapes! Here it is very important to keep the photo strait and the horizon levelled. By moving up and down, like squatting or holding your phone over your head, you can adjust the composition by changing the angle between your subject and the background.
- When you are satisfied, take the pictures!
Pro tip!
If your camera finds it hard to focus, switch the camera mode to Expert Raw or Pro Mode. Use the manual focus controls to adjust the focus.
