How to use Companion mode with Clip Studio Paint on your Galaxy Tab S8
To begin with, make sure you’ve got Clip Studio Paint installed and up to date on your tablet and your smartphone. If you’ve not got it, you can find it in the Galaxy Store. Both your devices will need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- Open Clip Studio Paint on your Tab S8
- Tap “Connect to smartphone” in the Command bar
- You’ll see a QR code, which you’ll need to scan with your smartphone’s camera
- A popup will appear. Tap “Open in browser”
- Clip Studio Paint will open in Companion mode on your smartphone
Now that you’ve got Companion mode set up, you can use it as a shortcut remote to do all sorts of cool stuff in Clip Studio Paint on your Tab S8!
- Quick access: you can use this to select different tools to edit the picture you’re working on
- Colour wheel: this is your virtual colour palette. You can use it to select the exact colour you want, as well as to adjust the opacity and size of the brush you’re using
- Gesture pad: control and move the canvas using gestures on your smartphone
- Sub View: with this tool, you can import an image or take a photo then select its colours to use for your picture
- Settings: here you have the option to customise what you use Companion mode for
Now that you’ve got Companion mode set up for Clip Studio Paint, there’s only one thing left to do: get creating some masterpieces!
