Updating to Android 10

I have a problem with Google Photos crashing as soon as it is opened. My phone is running Android 8 and I am trying to update to V10. Connected to computer and Internet is running. I am using Smart Switch to connect my phone but constantly get error message "No response from Server. Please check Internet connection and try again"

Any suggestions please?

Thanks for your reply, I have resolved it. Updated to Android 10 through phone and not Smart Switch.
