Unable to pin Gallery widget

I tried to pin the Samsung Gallery widget to my homescreen, but it won't work.

I long-press on the widget, position it where I need it, then... nothing. The widget just disappears

S23 Ultra, latest updates installed.

That's odd, I've just tried and it seems to be ok. What I did was long press on the home screen, tap widgets at the bottom, search for Gallery, tap on Gallery, tap on the widget, then tap Add. You can then move it to where you want by long pressing and dragging (Am using the S24 Ultra One UI 6.1)

Tap Widgets - OK

Found gallery widget - OK

Tapped on Add, positioned it on screen. Nothing, it just disappears

That's odd, I can either use the search box at the top or the list, when I find the widget to add I just have to tap on it and it then overlays an "Add" button over the image of the widget which I just have to tap on to add it

Check if "lock home screen layout" is turned off in settings > home screen > lock home screen layout toggle off if its on.

Nope, touching Add does nothing, the widget just disappears after I position it

I tried 3-4 other widgets and they all work, but Gallery won't

Do you get pop up when trying to add gallery widget asking to allow permissions? As I get asked and if I refuse they don't let me add. Try allow all permissions for gallery in settings

Nope, nothing. I move the widget then it just vanishes
