I want to completely disable some apps from using my mobile data, why is there no way to do this without work-arounds. The only thing you can do is disable background usage per app. Which is not a solution to my problem at all.

Imagine this, you're watching netflix and suddenly your wifi stops working, this causes you to stream using mobile data, and burn out your entire plan. If you could disable mobile data completely for netflix this would've made it impossible for this to happen.

The only solutions I have found for this problem is either external apps that work using a vpn, or using bixby routines to disable mobile data on certain apps. Why is this feature not on samsung phones natively, Iphones have it, other Androids have it. Why doesn't Samsung, makes me not want to buy a Samsung phone in the future.

almost there, it only allows you to choose Wifi and Mobile , or Wifi only or Mobile data only but not NONE, you have to have one or both selected so the ads still win!

Guess this explains why I could notnfind this setting on my wifi tablet.

For the casual stuff like blocking ads netguard works really well, but from a security standpoint it is still a nightmare to have internet connection enabled for your 3rd party keyboard app as netguard gets stopped every time you connect to another VPN. I am really wondering how Samsung can still sell to any business customer.

Hi,

Yes, samsung do have this option. Setting-connection-data usage-allowed networks for app, in that you can easily change to wifi or mobile data mode or both..

Correct, but there is no option to select no data at all
Netguard does the job perfectly for this

If you use Modes and Routines, you can have data and/or wifi turned off when specific apps run. It will do exactly what you're looking for.
