Swiping to call

I used to be able call from my MESSAGES by swiping right. I know I can do it from my contacts, but that is pointless as you have to exit messages which is probably the most used app. How can i go back and activate that? I need it and i know a lot of people are complaining that it was very useful and are mad at Samsung for removing it.  Now you have to do 3 different taps to just to call someone.

What can i do to reactivate this?

I do not remember that it was an option to call from messages. But definitely you can call by swiping on the list of recent calls. In messages you have call icon in top right corner but you need to enter the specific contact message chain and this is just one more tap if you compare to the swipe method.

That's fine if you don't remember it, but how do you go about resolving it? I'm aware of the option you just described, but as I said before, it requires going in and out of all these different apps just to place a call. How do we fix this?
